Simon Sweeney, Junior Quantity Surveyor, entered the Civil Engineering Technician program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, Ottawa, Ontario, in 2013 and graduated with honours in 2015. That same year following graduation, Simon entered the Civil Engineering Technology Program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and graduated in 2016 with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.53.

During his time at the college, Simon co-founded the first ever student level group affiliated with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (C.I.Q.S.), which was aimed at introducing students to the construction industry, the Quantity Surveying profession and current C.I.Q.S. members.
In 2015, Simon commenced work with Armstrong Modulevsky Schutte Quantity Surveyors Inc. (AMSQS) in Ottawa, as a Junior Quantity Surveyor, and has gained invaluable experience in his time spent there. He is an important component of the day-to-day functions of the business in addition to being an integral part of the Project Monitoring team.
He has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging in size from $1M up to $24M.
